Fireflies 2015!

2015.06.18

The season for photographing fireflies is already winding down and the weather forecast is for solid rain for the next week. It seems like  we may not get another chance to shoot any more this year.

Below are a few of my favorites that are available for commercial licensing. They can be shared via the embed function for free for non-commercial use on blogs etc.

These are “hime” fireflies. They are also known as “kin” fireflies but technically are called heike fireflies. They flash rapidly leaving trails of dots.

Below are genji fireflies. Their lighting pulses leaving longer light trails.

Be sure to check out our guide to capturing them! If you have any questions feel free to post them in the comments.

As always feel free to share this post via the buttons on the left!
